Cookie Policy

Short version: we don't set tracking cookies.

What cookies we set

None for tracking, analytics, or advertising. This site is a directory of static pages. There are no advertising beacons and no fingerprinting scripts.

We do count page views, usingCloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookie-less by design: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. It records that a page was requested — which page, roughly where in the world from, and how fast it loaded — so we can tell which parts of the directory are actually useful. There is no identifier tying those requests to you or to each other.

We also count how often the call buttons are pressed. When you tap a company's phone number, your browser sends us four things: that a call button was pressed, which company's, which page you were on, and your country. That is the entire record. It carries no cookie, no identifier, no IP address and no device information, so the count cannot be tied to you or joined up across visits. We measure it because it is the only way to tell whether this directory actually connects anyone to a repair company. The call itself is between you and that company — we never see the number you dialled from, whether it connected, or anything said.

What runs in your browser

  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode using the toggle in the header, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered on your next visit. It never leaves your device.
  • Location lookup (optional, on your click). If you press "Find repair near me," your browser's geolocation API resolves your position on your device. We match it to the nearest city in our directory and redirect you there. Your coordinates are never sent to our server or stored by us.
  • Map tiles. City pages include an interactive map that loads map tile images from the OpenStreetMap tile network. Like any web request, your IP address and browser user agent are visible to the tile server while fetching those images; that's covered byOpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy, not ours.
  • Cookie notice dismissal. If you dismiss the cookie notice banner, that choice is also saved in local storage so we don't show it again.

Third-party links

Listing cards link out to individual repair companies' phone numbers and websites — once you leave this site, their policies apply. Apart from the cookie-less page-view and call-button counts described above, we don't embed third-party trackers in our pages.

How to control this anyway

Every modern browser lets you block or clear local storage and cookies under Settings → Privacy. Blocking them will only reset your theme preference and cookie-notice dismissal — nothing else on this site depends on them.
